[English Q&A] Interesting vs. Fun vs. Funny

Writer: Yi-Hsien TanYi-Hsien Tan

  • INTERESTING

(adj.) someone or something that is interesting keeps your attention because he, she or it is unusual, exciting, or has a lot of ideas.

Eg. It is always interesting to hear other people's point of view.

  • FUN

(n.) someone or something that causes pleasure, enjoyment, or entertainment.

Eg. Going camping would be a really fun thing to do.

  • FUNNY

Fun is when you're having a good time. When you're enjoying yourself. Funny is when something makes you laugh.

Pay attention that when it comes to comparative form, fun -> more fun, and funny -> funnier. They are different!
